Tapestry Spring Concert

Join Tapestry Choir for an early Spring Concert, a programme of choral music that travels the globe bringing rich harmonies, unexpected textures, and stories that tell of our shared experiences through song.You’ll hear Bura Fera in Yorta Yorta (an Indigenous Australian language), Champa Battambang, a Cambodian love song, Tarekita with its Indian tabla-inspired lyrics, and Michael McGlynn’s Irish work Whispers of Paradise—with a dash of classic doo-wop and jazz standards to round out the night.Special guest artists Louise Eksteen (vocals), Dillon Davie (guitar and bass guitar) and Emile Hoogenhout (electronic musician, drums) will join the choir for selected songs, adding extra colour and energy—plus a featured performance of one of Emile’s electronic compositions.Tapestry Choir is a community choir that prides itself on building an inclusive, excellent singing ensemble that uses music to unite people, inspire hope, and enrich lives.
